Gwangjang Market is a historic & bustling traditional market located in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Established in 1905, it’s one of the oldest & largest markets in the country.
The market is over 42,000 square metres big and houses more than 5,000 shops & stalls. It offers a wide range of products including textiles, handicrafts, hanbok, household goods and more.
But the main reason people come to this market is for the food! There are numerous food stalls & restaurants, serving Korean street food & traditional dishes like mung bean pancakes, spicy rice cakes, pancakes, donuts and more.
There are also a few stalls that were featured in Netflix series, which sees a longer queue as it attracts tourists seeking for an authentic taste of Korean cuisine.
Gwangjang Market is conveniently located near Jongno 5(o)-ga Station or Euljiro 4(sa)-ga Station.
