In order to make it easier to experience our beautiful hanoks in everyday life, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has opened Seoul Public Hanok Lounges in Bukchon and Seochon.
The public hanoks operated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government have been remodeled into spaces where not only citizens but also all visitors to Korea can feel our unique hanok culture, charm, and value.
In particular, the Seochon Lounge combines the traditional beauty of hanoks with modern design, making it a pleasure to take in every detail of the space. The first floor of the Seochon Lounge is comprised of exhibitions, events, and experience spaces, while the second floor is comprised of reading and relaxation spaces.
Currently, the essence of modern design, Bauhaus furniture, which had a great influence on modern architecture and design, and works by domestic modern craftsmen are on display. The exhibition will be open until this week, and new exhibitions are scheduled to open soon.
