Since it is a French brand hotel, it is called Le Goute, which is called French afternoon tea. There are two versions, Paris and Seoul.

The price is different in Paris and the Korean version in Seoul, and the types of black tea are different, and the composition is also different. Even the trays are different.

Today, I will experience Seoul first and visit again next week to feel Paris. If I had known in advance, I might have only gone to the Paris version. I consider this fate~~~😂

The lounge located across from the reception on the 6th floor of Sofitel has a wide terrace. It is hot even though it is autumn outside because the sunlight shines directly. 🥵

The general patissier also provides a detailed explanation of the intentions and ingredients used for the Seoul version.

The teaware is unified as the Wedgwood brand.

The black tea is provided by the Dilmah brand in Seoul and Marieges Frères in Paris. There is a special service here.

At Aman Kyoto Afternoon Tea, they personally demonstrate and brew matcha tea, and similarly, the server brews loose-leaf tea with tea bags. (Even removing the tea bags)

This is a new attempt at afternoon tea in Korea. There are no scones in either version. If British afternoon tea has scones, French afternoon tea has madeleines.

The Seoul version has a total of 8 kinds, double-composition, and each serving is served on 2 plates. There are 4 kinds of desserts and 4 kinds of savory. The texture of the bakery bread is excellent.

I am looking forward to the Paris version next week. The tray of the Seoul version resembles that of the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo, and the Paris version is similar to that of the Yokohama The Kahara.

I thought the macarons would have been better if they had more cream, and while the bulgogi brioche and dried persimmon tart (tartlet) surprisingly go well together, the kimchi choux feels disharmonious with the crab.

Champagne can be ordered by the glass of Baron de Rothschild Brut. There is also a rose champagne, but I will drink it next week. I am also planning to stay overnight. It is a pleasant start. Thank you.
