Winter Woodland Royal Tea at The Library, Seoul Shilla Hotel

I visited around 2 PM and was able to order without any difficulty, enjoying the Christmas-themed afternoon tea. Interestingly, from 2 PM to 4 PM that day, no one else seemed to order the Royal Tea! (It wasn't even listed on the menu...)

I have no idea why that was the case, but since it's in the past, I'll just let it go. The Royal Tea comes with a half bottle of Laurent-Perrier champagne and is priced at 140,000 KRW.

Although I had a 10% discount card, it couldn't be applied as this was a promotional item. The regular afternoon tea is priced at 79,000 KRW, but the Royal Tea enhances the savory items to pair well with the champagne, while the variety of sweets is slightly reduced.

The signature cake is presented in miniature form, amplifying the Christmas atmosphere. As expected, the savory items, made with top-quality ingredients like foie gras, caviar, and abalone, were not only delicious but also perfectly paired. The thickly filled tuna sandwich was a delight in both texture and taste.

Overall, the flavors were excellent, leaving little room for criticism. Initially, I was seated inside, but when a window seat became available, they kindly moved me there. I appreciated this gesture. The automatic blinds that adjusted to the sunlight were another thoughtful touch. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
