The Gomeba at Novotel Ambassador Dongdaemun is my first visit in January 2021 during the strawberry season. Except for Hyatt affiliates, I choose to serve afternoon tea for one person.

The price range for one person was a bit lower than the places I visited first, and there was no savory menu and only one sandwich. The visuals weren't bad, but it wasn't really delicious~~~!

However, I remember it as a panoramic mountain view restaurant where you can see Bukhansan, Inwangsan, and Bukaksan in the distance. Time passes and I visit in June for the next season, Cherry & Berry Afternoon Tea.

The location is also a rooftop & outdoor pool on the 21st floor, and you will be seated next to the pool. It is a moment when you are exposed to the direct sunlight of the midsummer sun with your whole body.

I remember it was a steamer even with the shade. At that time, the pastry chef stood in the middle of a hot steam room for the first time and explained afternoon tea, which was very touching.

The manager who took care of me kindly greeted me for the first time at this time. Although my whole body was covered in sweat and the dessert creams were melting, it was an impressive scene.

Since it was the 100th episode special, I also requested a lettering service, and they decorated it beautifully by sticking it on the tray. Thank you. It consists of 6 kinds of sweets, 2 kinds of savory, and scones and strawberries.

A brunch platter is included with Delight, and you can add it as an option. First of all, each of the 6 kinds of sweets tastes amazing. It is the result of endless effort.

If there were more pistachios, the feeling of the madeleine would be preserved, while the texture at the end would be better. It is definitely delicious because the cream is in place.

The cakes are perfect. The strawberry choux is also hidden, maximizing the taste, and I am satisfied. The mille-feuille looked okay even if it was slightly thicker, and the macaron also brought out the richness of the toppings well.

Canapés and sandwiches are okay. I'm looking at the brunch platter for the third season, but it doesn't seem to go well with afternoon tea (Le Goute).

I think the savory type would be good, and I recommend presenting it in a simple finger food size with mini burgers. I'll come back next season. Thank you.
