Gyeongbokgung Palace: Stepping Into Korea’s Royal Past

#holidayitinerary

Walking through Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul felt like entering another era. The grand gates and wide courtyards gave me a sense of how important this place was during the Joseon dynasty. I loved seeing the traditional architecture—the colorful patterns on the roofs and the elegant wooden halls were simply stunning. The palace grounds were so vast that every corner seemed to reveal something new, from quiet gardens to historical pavilions. I also got to witness the changing of the guard ceremony, which added more life to the experience. Being there made me feel both peaceful and amazed, as if I had touched a part of Korea’s living history. Gyeongbokgung truly showed me the beauty of tradition preserved in the heart of a modern city.
