Seoul City Wall

Seoul City Wall (also known as Hanyangdoseong, 한양도성)

✨ This historic wall was constructed during the Joseon Dynasty in 1396 to protect the capital city of Hanyang (modern-day Seoul). It encircles four major mountains: Namsan, Bugaksan, Naksan, and Inwangsan.

🍀 Today, parts of the wall have been restored and opened as hiking trails. Visitors can stroll along the paths beside the wall, enjoying stunning views of Seoul's cityscape juxtaposed with mountains and towering buildings. The atmosphere is especially romantic and serene during sunset, making it a perfect spot for sightseeing and photography.
