✨“Hidden Shio Bread in Seoul… Not famous, but worth a try!”✨
When traveling abroad, we often follow lists of famous shops with long lines. But there are days when we crave something simple, just strolling along and finding something to eat without having to fight over it. Like the day I passed by ESOA, a small shio bread shop in the heart of Seoul, Korea.
This shop isn't famous, doesn't have rave reviews, or long lines, but its charm lies in its simplicity. 🌟 They sell sets with a minimum of four pieces for 12,000 won. I couldn't even try just one piece, so I had to give in and buy the set, even though I was afraid I wouldn't be able to finish it. 😅
The freshly baked bread smells good. 🍞 The first bite is soft and slightly salty and sweet, topped with the shop's signature "black salt." It's a cool, unusual look, but the overall taste isn't anything spectacular. It's just… delicious. But if you don't eat here, it's not a huge mistake! 🤭
The biggest advantage of this shop is that there are no lines or crowds, so you can stop by with peace of mind. If you're looking for souvenirs to take home or a snack to snack on while you're sightseeing, this is a great option! ✅ Just walk in, grab yours, pay, and then sit down to enjoy a relaxing meal on the sidewalk without rushing.
For those who love trying new things or bakery lovers looking to check out lesser-known shops, ESOA is a great place to stop. 🍞😉 It might not be your favorite, but it's a lovely little experience from a Seoul stroll that I'll remember.
