The sprawling Dabie Mountains, with Tiantangzhai as their main peak. Shengrentang Village, Jiuzihe Town, Luotian County, Hubei Province, lies at the foot of Tiantangzhai, the main peak of the Dabie Mountains. Atop the village gate, a couplet reads: "Hundreds of miles of green mountains stretch away, and thousands of years of white clouds return." Looking around, the mountains merge with the blue sky, creating a scene of white clouds circling the green hills.
In spring, mountain flowers bloom, in summer, waterfalls flow, autumn leaves blaze with crimson, and winter is blanketed in snow. Shengrentang offers breathtaking scenery in every season, offering a scenic destination for sightseeing, leisure, and summer escapes. It attracts visitors year-round, and just a few days ago, on Women's Day, several groups visited. The villagers of Shengrentang have created a travel song: "In spring, here's warmth, climbing the mountain to admire the azaleas; in summer, here's joy, rafting in the canyon; in autumn, here's joy, couples gaze at the crimson leaves together; in winter, here's eating hot pot, drinking rice wine, and singing songs." But the most beautiful and unique aspect of Shengrentang Village is its autumn scenery.
Locals have a long tradition of planting tallow trees in their fields. The unique geographical environment here lends these trees their distinctive characteristics: vibrant red leaves, rounded foliage, graceful shapes, and a long red leaf period. A reporter strolled through the fields surrounding the village, observing rows of century-old tallow trees lining the ridges. Unfortunately, it was early spring, and the trees had not yet begun to bud. Villagers explained that their ancestors had cultivated tallow trees, firstly because their seeds yielded oil, and secondly because their large crowns and dense leaves provided a place to rest in the shade during summer labor.
Miraculously, in late autumn, the leaves of the Chinese tallow trees here turn from green to red, even more fiery than the crimson leaves of Maple Mountain. At this time, the crimson leaves blanket the fields, layer upon layer, creating a spectacular spectacle. Set against the backdrop of the Dabie Mountains' forests, this pastoral scenery has been hailed as China's most beautiful by photographers from provincial capitals. Last autumn, over 10,000 tourists, many of them photography enthusiasts, visited Shengren Hall to admire the crimson leaves.
Boasting a subtropical monsoon climate, Shengrentang Village boasts vibrant blossoms in spring, cascading waterfalls in summer, fiery red leaves in autumn, and a blanket of snow in winter. A vibrant destination for sightseeing, leisure, and summer escape, Shengrentang attracts visitors year-round, making it a popular destination for all seasons. Early November to November 20th is the best time to view the autumn leaves.
