The oldest cafe in Shanghai: Donghai Coffee House

Located in a quaint building near the Bund, Donghai Coffee House is the oldest cafe in Shanghai, having opened in 1934.

It was previously located in another place nearby, but moved to its current location in 2021.

The interior of the shop is a little nostalgic, with chairs, tables, chandeliers, and other interiors reminiscent of the good old days of Shanghai. The retro atmosphere is irresistible.

Although the name is "Coffee House," they not only serve coffee, but also steaks, borsch, and sandwiches, and there were many people enjoying a full meal. This time we ordered the limited edition lemon pie (lemon cake). It had a nostalgic sweetness and was super sweet! I should have ordered an American drink!

Although the shop is large, it is a popular shop that fills up quickly in the afternoon. It is recommended to go at a different time.
