After more than 10 years, I visited Shanghai again. There were too many hotel options, so I finally chose the Regent Hotel and stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights.

Hotel location->5 minutes walk from Dongchang Road subway station. There are many shopping malls and a lot of restaurants nearby. It is very convenient. 10 minutes walk to the Oriental Pearl Tower and 20 minutes walk to the riverside.
Room type-> Oriental Pearl Queen Room
Room facilities->Except for the mattress which is great👍🏻, the other facilities in the room are old and the plugs are broken.
Service -> The overall staff is not up to the standard of a 5-star hotel, especially the basement western restaurant. I have never experienced a 5-star hotel restaurant where no waiter showed up for a long time. The staff lacked initiative. Even if they were not busy, they would just stand aside and would not take the initiative to add water/tea.
Breakfast -> Very limited variety, food quality was very average, very disappointing.
Hotel facilities->The once internet-famous swimming pool. Only me and another foreigner used it that day. The swimming pool is only 20m long and quite narrow.
Others->Room rate includes 3 pieces of laundry per night and mini bar
Price->$1500/night

Overall, the hotel is not up to the usual standards of the 5-star Regent brand abroad,
