On August 9, the “Defining Nature” Realistic Romanticism Art Invitational Exhibition debuted at the Haipai Art Museum.
In the hearts of most people, nature may be that tranquil place far from the hustle and bustle of the city, that untouched wilderness.
However, when you step into the exhibition hall of the “Defining Nature” Realistic Romanticism Art Invitational Exhibition recently unveiled at the Haipai Art Museum in Shanghai, you will find that nature is far richer and deeper than we imagine.
The exhibition brings together 121 artworks in various forms such as oil paintings, prints, acrylics, ink, and watercolors by 30 artists from three generations across the country.
Among the exhibited works are the green mountains and rivers often seen in ancient Chinese poetry, flowers and birds with a sense of personality, ancient buildings that have witnessed the vicissitudes of life and the changing clouds in urban landscapes, the charm of street markets in memory, and the mysterious world where chaos first opened and heaven and earth merged.
In the tone of realistic romanticism, each artist conveys their love and longing for nature through their unique artistic language and personalized expression.
In the tone of realistic romanticism, each artist conveys their deep love and longing for nature through their unique artistic language and personalized expression, as well as the inspiration and charm naturally revealed in their creations. This is not only a praise of nature but also a profound belief and infinite reverence for culture and art.
