Endless Mountain

The artist Shi Hu's heavy-color paintings on canvas and paper from the last ten years are currently on display in Halls 1 and 3 on the first floor of the Shanghai Museum of Art.
In the last 10 years of his life, contemporary artist Shi Hu faded out of the public eye and retreated to a Hakka village in Heyuan, Lingnan. In large-scale paintings, he is good at using the deconstruction and reconstructing of human and animal images to establish his understanding of Chinese history, society, and beliefs, and gives the viewer a strong visual impact with brilliant overlapping colors and intricate compositions.
The exhibition will run until March 16 and is free to visit without reservation.
