Day 1: We strolled along Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and went to Yuyuan Garden. There is something to do just by going to either place, so time flies by! There are also food stalls and department stores, so you're sure to find delicious food and cute souvenirs here!
Day 2: We strolled around Tianzifang and went shopping at Shanghai Xintiandi! At night, we went to see the view of the Bund! You'll never forget the view of the Bund once you've seen it.
Day 3: We checked out of the hotel and headed to the airport. We ate Shanghai Xiaolongbao at the airport, and it was so delicious!
[Recommended spots]
1. Yuyuan Garden
It is known as a tourist spot that retains the good old Shanghai, with narrow alleys lined with vermilion buildings that recreate the Ming and Qing dynasties, and crowded with shops selling traditional crafts, souvenirs, restaurants, and more.
The stores are open from 8am to 9pm, and are crowded with tourists all day long. You'll be amazed by the illuminated buildings as you walk around! There are also many traditional Shanghai crafts, so it's fun to find cute miscellaneous goods!
2. The Bund
The Bund, where the majestic historical Western-style buildings are lit up as the sun sets, is one of Shanghai's best night view spots. And the night view of Pudong, with its futuristic high-rise towers including the Shanghai Tower, the second tallest building in the world, on the opposite bank of the Huangpu River, is also exceptional. If you visit the Bund at night, you can't miss the night cruise from the river where you can enjoy the spectacular views of both banks at once! On the other side of the river, there is actually a luxurious commercial facility! The Bund No. 3 Building (formerly the Union Assurance Building) is located! You're sure to be impressed no matter where you look!
3. Nanjing Road, Nanjing Pedestrian Street
Nanjing Road is said to be the busiest street in Shanghai, with a total length of about 5km. It is roughly divided into two areas, Nanjing East Road is lined with long-established department stores and modern shops, and is an area where you can experience both old and modern culture, while Nanjing West Road is lined with luxury hotels, shopping malls, and stylish cafes. At night, the shop signs are lit up and beautiful, so it is also recommended to take a stroll at night!
Recommended Gourmet
1.📍Laila Xiaochi Tangbao
⚫︎Fresh Meat Matsutake Dumplings (32 yuan *Price for 4 pieces)
This is the first thing I ordered. Xiaolongbao with minced pork and matsutake mushrooms. There is plenty of hot meat juice in the thin skin! It is not heavy and you can eat as much as you want.
⚫︎Chicken and Duck Blood Soup (11 yuan)
A light soup with chicken and duck blood tofu and gizzards. It is one of the standard side dishes at snack restaurants in Shanghai, and if you don't like liver, you will definitely get addicted to the taste.
2.📍Shanghai Oba Oba
⚫︎Oba Oba Red Shao Rou (Pork Belly Braised in Soy Sauce) 48 RMB
If you want to eat authentic food, this is it! This is the dish "Red Shao Rou" that can be said to be a Shanghai specialty. The red shao roo varies depending on the restaurant, but the one at "Shanghai Oba Oba" has a light fat and a fragrant soy sauce aroma that is exquisite. It is also attractive that it is not too sweet. And the boiled egg on the side is delicious! Be sure to order it.
⚫︎Yangzhou Chow Noodles (Yangzhou-style fried rice) 22 RMB
Yangzhou, a city located northwest of Shanghai, is a city of food culture that is known only to those in the know. Many chefs working at Chinese restaurants in Japan are from Yangzhou. Fried rice, a classic dish of Yangzhou, is one of the dishes that is popular in Shanghai. It is a large portion, so share a plate with everyone.
3.📍Haidilao
Haidilao Hotpot (Bund store)
⚫︎The hotpot is delicious and the cost performance is good!
The customer service is so good that you can't find it in China, offering free juice and snacks while you wait!
