Xujiahui Cathedral (St. Ignatius) Shanghai

A renowned Catholic church in Shanghai, the grounds are lush and green, and it's near the Xujiahui shopping district. The red-brick cathedral with its twin bell towers is a landmark in Xujiahui. It's perfect for a stroll, a picnic, or even a good read.

There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view. The church is surrounded by trees that are turning yellow and orange. I visited in early December, and it was a beautiful sight. Just sitting there and enjoying the scenery was enough to make me feel good.
