Tiger Leaping Gorge

Tiger Leaping Gorge is one of the deepest and narrowest sections of a tributary of the Yangtze River. During spring, the calm green waters transform into a powerful torrent as they pass through the narrow gorge, creating a thunderous sound. Surrounded by towering mountains, the scenery becomes even more breathtaking.

Visitors need to purchase tickets before entering. From the parking lot, there are approximately 3-4 escalator sections leading down to the riverside. Along the way, there are several scenic viewpoints to enjoy. At the bottom, a walkway runs along the river to the narrowest point, where legend has it that a tiger once leaped across, giving the gorge its name. At the end of the path, there is a viewpoint and a statue of a tiger looking back, which serves as a photo spot. Nearby, there are shops selling plaques for visitors to write their wishes and hang them up. The area is adorned with numerous hanging plaques, offering another picturesque photo opportunity.
