The Hidden Gem of Shangri-La in Deqin

This village, not widely known to outsiders, has a rich history of preserving its traditional way of life for over 1,000 years amidst rugged mountains. A local entrepreneur, born and raised here, took it upon himself to showcase the beauty of his hometown by personally funding the development of roads and facilities, gradually attracting tourists to the area.

While it has yet to gain widespread fame, this allows visitors to enjoy its breathtaking natural scenery in a tranquil setting. Although there is a small entrance fee, it is relatively inexpensive compared to other famous tourist destinations in China, making it a must-visit main spot in Shangri-La.
