🚗 Transportation Guide
The most convenient option is to choose carpooling ✔️ It takes about 2 hours from Lijiang
Since I planned to go to Shangri-La after finishing Tiger Leaping Gorge
My itinerary was:
Outbound: Baisha Ancient Town - Chama Inn
Return: Teacher Zhang's Inn - Shangri-La
✅ Met a great driver, private car for 500 RMB per day, the driver will drop you off at Chama Inn, then wait at Teacher Zhang's Inn for the return trip! Specific timing can be negotiated with the driver

🚶🏻‍♂‍➡️ Hiking Route: Chama Inn → Halfway → Teacher Zhang's Inn
✔️ Total about 9.5 km, elevation gain 191 m
✔️ Takes about 4-5 hours to complete (including breaks and photos)

⚠️ Tips:
1️⃣ There are quite a few supply points along the way, so you don't need to bring too much dry food! You can leave your luggage in the car for the carpool driver to take to Teacher Zhang's Inn for storage
2️⃣ Most of Tiger Leaping Gorge is irregular stone paths, so wearing non-slip and comfortable hiking shoes is necessary! Also, there are occasional strong winds along the way and a big temperature difference between morning and evening, so it is recommended to wear quick-dry clothes plus a windbreaker!
