Step into the Horizon Club Lounge at Shangri-La Hotel, the spacious lounge provides a comfortable and uncrowded ambiance. The pastry selection is a pleasant surprise, with four varieties of bread kept warm in the bread box. The Portuguese egg tarts are delightfully crispy without being overly sweet.

The menu offers over 20 choices, including Chinese, Western, and Japanese set meals, with a focus on Cantonese cuisine. Indulge in a bowl of dry tossed wonton noodles, generously topped with succulent barbecued pork and large, chewy wontons. The breakfast features a variety of options, including cold cuts with cheese, fruit with yogurt, a selection of exquisite pastries and cakes, and bacon and sausages.

My personal favorites were the congee which came in several options, each with a unique combination of ingredients, complemented by fried dough sticks and fried mantou buns. We can also order for various egg dishes, such as omelettes and Benedict eggs, which were fragrant, tender, and perfectly balanced in flavor.
