🇨🇳 Wutong Mountain Hike via Xiutong Road

Wutong Mountain, the tallest peak in Shenzhen, stands at 944 meters. It offers multiple trails of varying difficulty, and I chose to hike via Xiutong Road, known as the fastest route to the summit. Completed in September 2007, Xiutong Road is one of the most scenic trails in the Wutong Mountain Scenic Area, offering breathtaking views of the sea and sky. The trail starts behind Shenzhen Foreign Languages School High School and connects with Bitong Road, eventually leading to the Wutong Mountain summit. I took a taxi to the trail entrance and hiked for about 2.6 kilometers, reaching the Big Wutong summit in just over 2 hours. Xiutong Road itself is 2,146 meters long and climbs to an elevation of approximately 900 meters, with the final stretch to the summit completed via Bitong Road.
