Elderly Shenzhen ¥100 Day Package: Car rental, buffet, beauty treatments, haircut...

The annual Double Eleven shopping festival is approaching, and it's time to "stock up" on Northbound discount packages. Many deals are as low as ten or twenty yuan, covering meals, accommodations, and even beauty treatments. Let me share my haul from last year (not hard to grab, as they're affordable even on regular days).

Transportation Tips - (Many elderly people are familiar with this)
Hong Kong seniors with a "JoyYou Card" can take Citybus to the Liantang Port for a round trip cost of HK$4. In Shenzhen, subway rides are free ✌.

Beauty Treatments - Shenzhen Bay has many upscale salons offering haircuts starting from just over ¥10 to perms costing over ¥200. On the day, I got a haircut at Top1NG* in Shenzhen Bay for ¥19 (Photo 2).

Later, I visited Yue*Li Beauty in Houhai, Shenzhen Bay, for a "Crystal Doll" facial treatment priced at ¥49. I was very satisfied. The shop is run by Hong Kongers, all equipment is officially certified, and it's a one-time payment without any upselling (Photo 6).

Hotels - Houhai also has a highly cost-effective hotel, "Shenzhen Kapok Hotel," with stunning decor. It's located right above the beauty salon. However, I didn't stay there that day. On regular days, the average cost per person is around ¥400 (Photo 1).

Dining and Restaurants - Vegetarian buffets: Shenzhen has many affordable vegetarian restaurants, some even offering free meals (owners aiming to accumulate good karma). On the day, I visited *Wei Mei Su near Cui Zhu Station. The decor is cozy, mostly booth seating for privacy, and the place feels clean and hygienic. ¥22 (Photos 3 and 4).

If you don't stay at a hotel, the average cost per person is ¥97.
