Baligou Scenic Area is located 50 kilometers northwest of Xinxiang City, Henan Province. It belongs to the Xinxiang South Taihang Tourism Resort and is a typical South Taihang scenery. The forest coverage rate of the scenic area is 90%, and there are more than 1,100 species of plants. There are seven dangerous valleys and thirty-six strange peaks in the scenic area, and there is a sense of mystery everywhere.
It is a national 4A-level scenic spot, a national geological park, a natural macaque reserve, a famous scenic spot in Henan Province, and one of the top ten scenic spots in Henan Province. It embodies the essence of the Taihang Mountains and waters, combining the uniqueness, danger, beauty, elegance, and seclusion in one valley. It is known as the "Soul of Taihang and the Spirit of China" and is praised by garden experts as "unique in Asia."

Baligou Scenic Area is located in Jiaozuo, Henan Province, China. Visitors can reach it by taxi or private car from Jiaozuo city center. Bus services to the entrance are available from nearby towns, though schedules may vary. Walking is mainly within the park itself.
The park is generally open from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM daily. The best times to visit are spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November) for comfortable weather and vibrant natural scenery.
The entrance fee is approximately 60–80 CNY per adult, depending on the season. Tickets can be purchased at the park entrance or online through official tourism websites or travel apps.
Booking tickets in advance is recommended during weekends, holidays, and peak tourist seasons. Booking 1–3 days ahead is usually sufficient.
To explore Baligou Scenic Area thoroughly, plan for 4–6 hours, allowing time for hiking, photography, and enjoying waterfalls and natural viewpoints.

Start at the main entrance, visit the Baligou Waterfall first, then follow the hiking trail along the valley, stopping at natural pools and viewpoints. End at scenic forest trails or optional adventure activities near the exit. This loop covers the main highlights efficiently.
Night visits are generally not permitted. There are no regular light shows, but special seasonal events may occur; check local schedules in advance.
The park can be crowded during weekends, public holidays, and peak autumn foliage season. Weekdays and early mornings are the least crowded times.
Some areas have uneven terrain and stairs, which may be challenging for elderly or disabled visitors. Children can explore most areas safely with supervision. Certain sections may be restricted for wheelchair access.
