There are many ancient towns in China. Personally, I feel that it is suitable to go to an ancient town to experience the leisurely life!
Gankang Ancient Town, after entering it, gave me the initial feeling that it was too commercialized and had lost its original flavor. I was a little disappointed, but I had already booked a hotel in the town for one night and also booked tickets for the night show of the Twenty Scholars and Four Histories Academy, so I might as well put my mind at ease and try to find a place to play and appreciate this ancient town. In fact, if you look up, ignoring the commercial district shops on the ground floor of the ancient town, it is not difficult to find its special flavor. If you wander around the alleys of the town in all directions, you will find many places to play. This is the benefit of roaming, there are good bookstores, snack bars, and handicraft shops! It is also worth mentioning that coming to Gankeng is considered staying overnight in the town, so it is worth paying the small ticket fee and visiting the Twenty-Four Histories Academy at night!
