Summer Delights: Butter Crabs at Man Ho

Summer is the perfect season for enjoying plump and juicy butter crabs. This is the best time to savor butter crabs 🦀, which come in various grades. The most premium ones are the 'head-hand butter crabs,' ranging from 200g to 350g, with the top-tier ones priced at around 2,000 RMB each. For a more budget-friendly option, the 'oil crabs' are available, typically priced above 500 RMB for good quality, catering to different budgets.

Man Ho Chinese Restaurant at JW Marriott offers limited butter crabs every summer. Unfortunately, due to not reserving in advance, we missed out on the head-hand butter crabs 🦀 and had to settle for the oil crabs, which were still delicious. Besides crabs, the restaurant also serves excellent roasted pigeon and Cantonese dim sum 🍵. We were so busy enjoying the food that we forgot to take photos of some dishes. The tea selection is also impressive, and the server recommended aged tangerine peel white tea, which was perfect for the summer.

Overall, the food was fantastic. I’ll definitely come back to try the head-hand butter crabs 🦀 next time. Highly recommended!
