Summer Hiking in Shenzhen: Kunpeng Trail's First Section (Handcrafted Pathway)

The Kunpeng Trail, a long-distance hiking route in Shenzhen, consists of 20 sections. It starts from Feiyun Peak in the western Bao'an District and stretches all the way to Qiniang Mountain in the eastern Dapeng New District.

The first section begins at Feiyun Peak, leading hikers through a wide and well-defined mountain path to Fenghuang Mountain's summit, "Wangyan Tower." Afterward, the trail narrows into a handcrafted pathway for a gradual descent, spanning nearly 5 kilometers in total.

The first quarter of the trail is relatively easy to walk, attracting a noticeable crowd. However, after reaching Fenghuang Mountain's summit, the entrance to the next section becomes significantly narrower, and the number of hikers decreases substantially. It seems that not many people are attempting to complete the entire Kunpeng Trail.
