Shenzhen Suzhou and Hangzhou cuisine souvenir shop exploration

It's been a while since I've tried Suzhou and Hangzhou cuisine. Last month, my friend surprised me with lunch at the imposing Songhelou restaurant.

Smooth Shrimp - The light and fragrant Longjing tea paired with the delicate, crisp shrimp served as a starter. Absolutely amazing!

Crab Roe and Tofu - Although September isn't hairy crab season, there are often ready-made crab roe dishes. The crab roe was just right, and the tofu wasn't overly beany.

Squirrel Mandarin Fish - The dish is truly delicious, with a beautiful appearance, beautifully fried, and topped with an orange sweet and sour sauce. The fish was smooth and the skin was crispy—a must-try.

Stir-fried beef with Gong peppers—We requested less spice, but thankfully it was still manageable, and the beef was tender and smooth.

Stir-fried pork intestines with Laba garlic—Green garlic and springy pork intestines 😙

Stir-fried seasonal vegetables—A regular stir-fry 😉

"Pork Bones with King Flower" soup—Sweet, nourishing, and not greasy, it's truly a relatively light stew 😃

Xiaolongbao with crab roe soup—Thin skin, sweet, and juicy meat 😋

Shengjianbao—The sesame base makes the shengjianbao even more crispy 😚

Summary: Our group of five naturally opted for the 4-person set menu and selected a few snacks. You don't have to worry about the portions being too large at Chinese restaurants. This time, we definitely had enough 😁 Everyone was very happy with this restaurant 👍😋

*Thank you again to everyone for the surprise and thoughtful arrangements 🙇🏻♀️*
