Ryugu-gutsu is a scenic spot that has become a standard for those who go to the Izu Peninsula.
It is adjacent to Tago Beach in Shimoda City, Izu 🌊
It is a mysterious scenic spot with a "skylight" that was created when the ceiling of a sea cave created by wave erosion collapsed.
It is famous as a spot for lovers because it is heart-shaped when viewed from above as well as inside the cave. Please try looking down from above as well as below.
There is only parking space for about 10 cars, so it gets crowded, but admission is free. If you don't have a car, you can access it by taking a bus from Izukyu-Shimoda Station for about 17 minutes, getting off at "Maenohama" and walking for 3 minutes.
There is also a sand skiing resort next to it, which is rare in Japan, so why not try it while you're there?
