【Shizuoka】A charming heart-shaped cave! "Ryugu Cave" in Shimoda.

Shimoda, located in the nature-rich Izu area, offers stunning views surrounded by the sea and mountains. Among the many attractions, Ryugu Cave stood out as particularly beautiful during my visit.

The cave was formed over many years as its ceiling eroded and eventually collapsed, leaving a large opening at the top. When you step inside the cave and look up, you can see the sky clearly, creating a truly magical atmosphere.

From the walking trail above, you can look down into the cave. It's said that viewing the heart-shaped cave with your partner or friends can bring happiness.

Ryugu Cave is about a 10-minute bus ride from Izukyu-Shimoda Station. However, keep in mind that buses run only once an hour, so plan your time accordingly.

Definitely worth a visit!
