2025 Taipei Lantern Festival: Highlights of the Songshan Cihui Hall Lantern Area: "Transformers" and "Five Gods of Wealth" to Welcome the New Year

I happened to pass by Ximending that day and unexpectedly encountered the 2025 Taipei Lantern Festival. The whole city was lit up by gorgeous lights at night! This exhibition area is located at the intersection of Zhonghua Road and Chengdu Road. The Taipei City Government specially invited 17 temples to participate in the Lantern Festival to combine traditional beliefs with artistic lighting to add a strong cultural atmosphere. This is the Songshan Cihui Church area~ There is a lantern exhibition area, displaying two sets of lanterns: "Transformers Celebrate the New Year" and "Five Gods of Wealth Welcome the Year of the Snake". Combining the familiar mechanical heroes with New Year elements, the lantern shape is full of technology and has a cute atmosphere. To welcome the Lunar New Year of the Snake, the Five Gods of Wealth lanterns are designed to be festive, symbolizing the wealth rolling in. These lovely and spectacular light sets light up the night in Taipei's West District. In addition to the Lantern Festival exhibition area, the surrounding Ximending business district is also decorated with lights. The "Light Up Yuanling Lantern Festival" on Yuanling Street and the "Taipei Underground Good Luck" on Taipei Underground Street have also launched limited-time events. It is really suitable to take advantage of the Lantern Festival to visit Ximending and experience these carefully planned activities and arrangements!
