Hoshino Resort's Minamina Beach: A Year-Round Warm Water Paradise in Hokkaido

Located within Hoshino Resort in Hokkaido, Minamina Beach (Smiling Beach) is an indoor heated swimming pool open year-round. Featuring a high glass ceiling and stable, comfortable water temperature, visitors can enjoy swimming even during the harsh winter months. The pool is spacious and well-equipped, making it a popular choice for families and parent-child outings.

Minamina Beach is situated next to Club Med. For guests staying at The Tower or Risonare, walking to the pool can be quite far, so it is recommended to take the resort shuttle bus or drive for convenience. There is a large parking lot right outside the pool, allowing visitors to easily transition to the hot springs after their swim without waiting for a bus, ensuring a comfortable experience.

The changing rooms are clean, spacious, and equipped with plenty of lockers. Swimwear, goggles, and other items are available for purchase on-site, making it easy for visitors to arrive empty-handed. The pool also offers inflatable toy rentals for approximately 1,500 yen per day, which can be charged directly to the room and settled upon checkout. After renting, guests receive a wristband that allows them to freely access various inflatable toys, making it a favorite among families with children.

Near the pool entrance, there is a snack and beverage area, so visitors can replenish their energy without having to return to the resort's restaurant.

At the far end of the pool lies the entrance to the famous "Mori no Yu" (Forest Hot Springs). Descending the stairs to the deepest part on the right leads to the outdoor hot spring area. The hot spring pool faces a pristine forest, and on clear nights, visitors can gaze at the starry sky while soaking in the tranquility and fresh air of the mountains—a perfect way to relax and rejuvenate.
