Located in Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture, Kumano Hayatama Taisha is one of the Kumano Sanzan (Three Grand Shrines of Kumano), along with Kumano Hongu Taisha and Kumano Nachi Taisha.
Registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range," it is a sacred place that has long been visited by many people.
