Wakayama, Japan. Sunset at Engetsu Island, Shirahama.
It rained all the way to Shirahama, but luckily, the clouds slowly parted in the evening.
Walking along the winding coastline, the sea breeze carried the unique salty smell of the ocean, gently tugging at my hair. From a distance, I could see Engetsu Island standing quietly between the sea and the sky, gently surrounded by clear water. Soon, the setting sun's rays pierced through the clouds, giving Engetsu Island a golden edge. The sky turned orange-red, and the sun quickly sank, turning the sky and sea into a golden world.
This hard-won sunset at Engetsu Island was more stunning than I had imagined.
