[Gifu] I stayed overnight in Shirakawa-go, a World Heritage Site!

Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture is a World Heritage Site popular with many people both in Japan and abroad.

Did you know that you can actually stay overnight in the Gassho-style houses of Shirakawa-go?

I was able to make a reservation on the Shirakawa-go Tourism Association website, so I went this time!

I stayed at a guesthouse called Furusato in Ogimachi.

The guesthouse has a warm atmosphere, like coming back to grandma's house, and it makes me feel nostalgic and relaxes my cheeks ☺️

The food was made with local ingredients such as Hida beef.

The white rice and rich side dishes went really well together 🤤

You can use the guesthouse's bathroom, but you can also use the hot springs in Shirakawa-go once 🆓, so I recommend going there too!

It's not often that you get the chance to stay at a World Heritage Site, so I recommend you try it once 💓
