Visited around October. About 1 hour and 30 minutes by car from Gifu city.
Shirakawa-go is famous in winter, but the autumn scenery is just as beautiful.
The ears of rice shining gold just before harvest.
On a clear day, the contrast of blue and gold combined with the cosmos will leave you impressed by the richness of nature.
The observation deck overlooking the Shirakawa-go Gassho-style village is also a must-see. Even in this season, you will walk so much that you will sweat, so I recommend wearing comfortable clothes.
