Summer in Shirakawa-go, the Gassho-style village

This was a very relaxing and surprising one-day trip. Starting from downtown Nagoya, we took a ride and enjoyed the scenic views of mountains and rivers along the way, eventually arriving at Shirakawa-go. The weather was cool and overcast that day, but strolling through this tranquil village in summer felt refreshing and comfortable. The houses, characterized by their steeply slanted roofs, complemented the lush green lawns in the front yards, creating a fairy-tale-like atmosphere.

In addition to the must-visit observation deck, the village also boasts numerous delightful food shops. For instance, the rich and creamy pudding here is a bite of pure happiness! Whether you're taking photos, strolling around, or savoring the local delicacies, this place makes it hard to leave.
