Shirakawa-go & Gero Onsen

Shirakawa-go was registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site in 1995 for being "an outstanding example of a type of building, architectural ensemble, or landscape which illustrates a significant stage in human history." A must-visit destination! Recently, it has become popular among foreign tourists as well.

Gero Onsen boasts over 1,000 years of history and is one of Japan's "Three Famous Hot Springs." It is about a 2-hour drive from Nagoya or approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes by train.
