Shirakawa-go, Japan | World Heritage 🏯⛩️ Gassho Village

The architectural feature of Gassho-zukuri is that the thatched roof is made into a shape like two hands clasped together. Thatched roofs are a traditional construction method that has been passed down since ancient times, and no nails are used in the construction process🤔. Currently, it can only be seen in Shirakawa-go and Gokayama in Toyama Prefecture in Japan, and it was one of the key factors for being selected as a World Heritage Site. 😵

Must-see attractions: I recommend viewing the entire Gassho Village from the Shiroyama Observatory, it's so beautiful 😍
Must-eat food: Gohei pancakes, Hida beef skewers 🤤
