Worship and ask for blessings at Sri Mariamman Temple @Singapore

Sri Mariamman Temple in Chinatown, near the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. Walk a little further and you will find Maxwell Food Center. It is a tourist attraction that many foreigners visit and take pictures of. You can walk around and see the culture and different religious ceremonies. It is another kind of exciting. You can walk around and see. You can make merit and have your forehead anointed. 🙏🙏🙏

This temple was built to honor the Goddess Mariamman, who is known for her sacredness in curing illnesses and diseases. It is a meeting place for various activities of the Indian community during the colonial era. In addition, this temple also serves as a registry office for Hindus. Because back then, only Hindu temples were allowed to perform Hindu marriage ceremonies. 😇😇😇🍀🍀🍀

At this temple, please notice the details of the decorations that are intricately crafted with eye-catching colors. In particular, the magnificent gopuram (or entrance to a magnificent pagoda) has been a major site for both Hindu pilgrims and Singaporeans for generations. The five-tiered pagoda is adorned with statues of deities, mythical creatures and other creatures.

If you visit Singapore during October to November, make sure to visit the annual Theemithi (fire-walking) festival. Good luck, get rich, and be healthy. 🙏🙏🤑🤑🥳🥳

Free admission every day, with two rounds:

Round 1: 7am-12pm in the morning

Round 2: 6pm-9pm in the evening
