Sri Mariamman Temple Chinatown

📞Hello Hello, if you hear me, please respond

✨️Chinatown, Singapore, bustling and full of life, is home to the oldest Hindu temple in Singapore, called Sri Mariamman Temple.

✨️Back in 1827, this Hindu temple was built by Indian immigrants from the southern regions of Nagapatnam and Cuddalore.

✨️It was known at that time as Mariamman Kovil or Kling Street Temple.

✨️This temple was built to honor the goddess Mariamman, who is believed to be sacred in healing illnesses and diseases.

It is now registered as a historic site.
