Singapore’s colonial gem

Raffles Hotel is one of the most prominent heritage buildings in Singapore given its rich history in the country’s narrative! Its architectural style is colonial jn nature and has been refurbished over the years to maintain its prestige and luxurious facade.

During the heritage tour hosted by one of their hotel historians, my husband and I learnt that back in the day, this hotel used to be a beachfront hotel! But because Singapore started to reclaim land to build up the Marina Bay area, this hotel no longer faces the open sea.

Nevertheless, it is still exquisite and beautiful, with lots of shops and restaurants within the property. If you visit Singapore, this is definitely one place to either stay at or stop by!

My overall rating of the experience: 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
