Shall we travel to Singapore?

Review of a 4-day, 3-night trip to Singapore 🇸🇬

A small country with a huge heart.
A short sentence that sounds simple but turned out to be the start of an unexpectedly amazing trip!

Singapore is a small country full of grandeur, with futuristic city views, beautiful gardens in the heart of the metropolis, world-class delicious food, and warm, friendly people. This trip, we invite everyone to explore the "Lion City" together in a cute, chill way, walking all day with smiles from ear to ear.

DAY 1: Arrived! Singapore... Merlion is waiting

We traveled with a low-cost airline, taking just over 2 hours to reach Changi Airport, which has won the "Best Airport in the World" award for several consecutive years. Just stepping off the plane, we immediately understood why it won.

The highlight here is Jewel Changi Airport, which has a mall, shops, restaurants, and the world's largest indoor waterfall! The waterfall is right in the middle of the mall, truly spectacular, perfect for taking beautiful photos from every angle. Anyone who comes must not miss it.

After strolling and having lunch at the airport, we took the MRT into the city using an EZ-Link Card (similar to our Rabbit card). Traveling was very easy, with trains on time, cool air conditioning, and super clean stations.

Tonight, we stayed near Bugis, a youthful area with malls, cafes, cute shops, and light street food. We fell in love with this city from day one!

DAY 2: Landmark day! Keep taking photos

We woke up a bit early today because the plan was packed.
We started at Merlion Park, Singapore’s symbol. The Merlion (a creature with a lion’s head and a fish’s body) majestically spouts water in the middle of the bay. Anyone who comes here without taking a photo at this spot is seriously missing out!

Opposite is Marina Bay Sands, the three tall towers with a ship on top. It’s incredibly grand. Taking photos from here captures the entire building, like being in a postcard.

Next, we walked to Gardens by the Bay, a futuristic botanical garden with the Flower Dome (a giant greenhouse) and Cloud Forest, which has an indoor waterfall. The air was cool and comfortable, perfect for a chill walk and snapping hundreds of beautiful flower photos!

In the evening, we didn’t miss Supertree Grove, the tall tree-like structures that have a light and sound show called Garden Rhapsody at night. It was spine-tingling! The music, lights, and atmosphere were so delightful, making us feel like we were in a fantasy animation movie.

DAY 3: Hip and cute in charming chic neighborhoods

Today was all about a relaxed stroll. We started at Chinatown, which isn’t just about souvenirs but also has Chinese temples, Hindu temples, and amazing food! We tried “Bak Kut Teh” (pork rib herbal soup) that smelled so good it made us forget our tiredness.

Next, we headed to Little India, full of bright colors in buildings, shops, and Indian art temples, like stepping into a Bollywood movie scene.

In the afternoon, we went to Haji Lane, a super hip area for creatives. The shophouses in this alley are painted pastel colors with cool graffiti everywhere. There are many handmade shops, cafes, accessories, and trendy clothes. Every spot is perfect for photos.

Tonight, we went up to Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, the rooftop observation deck of Marina Bay Sands. The panoramic city view from up there was stunning. The sunset was heartbreakingly beautiful, with soft sunlight reflecting off the glass buildings, creating a very romantic vibe.

DAY 4: Sentosa Island, a small island with giant fun!

It’s the last day but we still had energy to explore! We went to Sentosa Island, Singapore’s fun island that combines amusement parks, beaches, museums, and cute cafes.

We took the MRT to HarbourFront station, then transferred to the Sentosa Express to cross to the island. It only took a short time to get there!

Here, there’s Universal Studios Singapore, a must-visit amusement park. The top rides are Transformers 4D, The Mummy, and Jurassic Park Rapids, thrilling enough to scream at the top of your lungs.

There’s also the S.E.A. Aquarium, a huge aquarium that’s super enjoyable. Kids love it, and adults are amazed too.
We ended the day at Siloso Beach, walking in the breeze and taking relaxing seaside photos before heading back.

Food is not left behind!

Another thing we fell in love with is Singapore’s food, including…
• Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice – tender chicken, fragrant rice, and amazing sauce!
• Laksa – soft noodles in rich coconut milk soup
• Bubble tea – from Bober Tea, Koi, Playmade, all very delicious
• Satay at Lau Pa Sat – freshly grilled at night with an irresistible aroma
• Pineapple tarts – great as souvenirs to bring home and win hearts

Cute tips for traveling in Singapore
• Always carry an umbrella because the sun is strong but sudden rain is frequent
• Tap water here is drinkable! Bring an empty bottle to refill at restrooms or malls
• Download Google Maps and CityMapper to make MRT travel very easy
• Shoes are the most important! Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes because you’ll walk a lot
• Don’t forget a three-prong round plug (G Type) to charge your phone anywhere

Summary: Singapore is much cuter than you think!

Although Singapore is a small country, every square meter is “well thought out” in terms of transportation, cleanliness, safety, and fun. It’s an easy country to travel in, no guide needed, no heavy planning, but full of heartfelt experiences.

We think it’s perfect for those who want to explore a beautiful, safe city, those who like convenience, or even first-time international travelers who want a light, not-too-tiring trip.

If given the chance, we definitely want to go back.
Next time, maybe stay luxuriously at Marina Bay Sands or visit the Night Safari zoo. We say… no matter how many times you go to Singapore, you’ll never get bored!
