🍝 Monti at 1-Pavilion — Italian Lunch with Marina Bay Views

Had lunch at Monti and it felt like a little escape in the middle of the city. The restaurant sits right by the water inside that dome-shaped pavilion at Fullerton, and the view of Marina Bay was absolutely stunning—especially with the natural light pouring in during the day. It’s elegant but not stuffy, with a chill vibe that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy.

Went for the weekday 3-course lunch set ($58++) which honestly felt like good value given the location and quality. Started with a beef tartare—fresh, well-seasoned, and plated beautifully. For the main, I had the prawn and lobster mezzelune—little pockets of pasta filled with seafood goodness, topped with a light, creamy sauce. The flavours were delicate but satisfying, and the portion was just right for lunch.

Ended with their pistachio tiramisu, which was a nice twist on the classic. Light, nutty, and not overly sweet. Paired it with a coffee and just sat back soaking in the view of the water and skyline. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which added to the relaxed feel of the whole experience.

If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic spot to have a proper Italian lunch with great presentation and a touch of indulgence, Monti checks all the boxes.
