Hidden tea & cocktail bar in a 🇸🇬foodcourt

🍵 Fancy having a cuppa tea with a twist paired with Hainanese Curry rice? 🥃 Day drinking (12pm onwards) (to night maybe 😉) with a variety of food options a feet away? Or just hiding away from the crowd and heat at the nearby Haji Lane to enjoy the air-conditioning?

Lai He Bar or 来喝Bar - wordplay on '来喝吧' - is the latest drinking spot to visit!
Tucked away in a corner of the newly opened Foodcourt at City Gate's Basement 1, they are serving up a menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
✨️The highlight would be the cocktails based off local drinks and traditional chinese tea such as Scarlet Robe (大红袍). Also doubling up as a Tea Bar, Lai He Bar also offers hot brew loose leaf tea options like Jasmine Tea and Sencha.

Pictured are:
1) Hot brew tea - a different take on the traditional Scarlet Robe 大红袍 tea
2) Pink Pearl 粉珍珠 cocktail - light, sweet and refreshing
3) Clouds over Yunnan 彩云之南 cocktail - smooth, umeshu like, garnished with 小青柑
4) Red Cannon 大红炮 cocktail - strongest of the 3, this is heavy bodied with an almost medicinal taste
...and more on the menu to discover!

So if you are ever touring Singapore or just happen to be in the area, do consider popping by! You can settle a meal and a drink (or more) in just one location (with airconditioning in the 🇸🇬 heat) all at wallet friendly pricing!

📍City Gate Singapore, B1-15
(371 Beach Rd, Singapore 199597)
Foodcourt operating hours: 7am to 11:30pm
Bar hours: 12pm to 11:30pm
