— The most beautiful and peaceful library in the heart of the city
🏙️ Atmosphere
The National Library of Singapore is located on Middle Road, surrounded by modern glass buildings.
From the outside, it looks like a futuristic office, but once inside, the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and warm. 🪶
The interior is high-rise, flooded with natural light all day long. Looking up, you'll see rows of bookshelves lined up like something out of a movie. 📖✨
☕ A favorite spot for book lovers.
Besides the main library, there's also a free Study Lounge for working, with power outlets at every desk and strong Wi-Fi.
There's also a cafe downstairs where the aroma of coffee wafts throughout the day. ☕
We recommend sitting by the glass windows for panoramic city views, perfect for reading or slow-paced journaling. 🌇
🎨 Photo Spots and Exhibitions
Don't forget to stop by the exhibition floors, which change themes throughout the year — showcasing art, history, and technology. There are also plenty of beautiful photo spots, especially the glass atrium and the white spiral staircase, a favorite among photographers. 📸
🚇 Getting there
You can get off the MRT at Bugis or City Hall Station and walk for just a 5-minute walk. It's located on the corner of Middle Road, making it easy and safe to walk. 🏃♀️
🌿 Impressions
One of Singapore's most inspiring places — whether you're a student, a traveler, or just want a quiet spot to listen to your own breath, this place is so warm and peaceful you'll want to stay all day. 💚
