Unearthing Ancient Wonders at Stockholm's Mediterranean Museum! 🏛️✨

#summervacay
Stepped into the incredible Mediterranean Museum here in Stockholm! It's super conveniently located right by T-centralen and King's Garden – you really can't miss it. While it might not be massive, but WOW, it's absolutely packed with amazing artifacts, mostly from Cyprus and Egypt.

Okay, slight historical side note (maybe not so 'fun' 😅): many of these were acquired during British colonial rule in Cyprus. So yeah, I'm guessing the really impressive pieces might still be over at the British Museum! 😉

Now, the Egyptian section? Pure mystery! Look at that eerie statue! Turns out it's a coffin lid from over 600 BC, and get this – it actually details its owner's life right down to the day they lived! 🤯 How wild is that? And pic 15? That's a Book of the Dead! 📜 It's written in this totally unreadable language, basically a guide on how to survive all the dangers in the afterlife to reach paradise. The original is apparently over 200 chapters long, but a complete version just doesn't exist – fascinating!

Good news for museum fanatics: it's included in the Nordiska museet annual pass, AND I heard they even have free admission hours weekly! So if ancient Cypriot and Egyptian history is your jam, you absolutely have to check it out! ✨
