JW Marriott Surabaya.

🌸 Due to the high room rates at the Westin Hotel, I chose to stay at the JW Marriott on my last day in Surabaya. From the photos when booking, it was clear the hotel is somewhat dated and not fully renovated, especially the bathroom which feels quite old-fashioned, and the amenities are not the usual JW Aroma Therapy. However, in this city, this is probably one of the top luxury hotel brands.

🎈 The location is in the old city center, about a 10-minute walk to the second largest mall, Tunjungan Plaza. There are also many small shops nearby, including four convenience stores. The staff are very friendly, and the front desk’s English proficiency is generally good.

🎀 The breakfast restaurant looks newly renovated, resembling a glass greenhouse, which is quite attractive. There is a wide variety of choices, including freshly made gado gado, Indonesian fried rice, French toast, Indian pancakes, and various juices and coffee. The experience was quite good!
