Ancient Suzhou

It only takes half an hour to reach the quaint Suzhou by high-speed rail from Shanghai! Chinese-style architecture can be seen from the entrance of the high-speed rail station to the design of the bus stop. Of course, if you go to Suzhou, you must visit the Suzhou Museum.

The Suzhou Museum (main building) was designed by the famous architect Mr. I.M. Pei. It uses geometric shapes and Chinese landscape design. There are plump koi in the pond, reflecting the rockery on the other half. The white walls make it look like a landscape painting. The scenery is very beautiful. It is highly recommended to rent a cheongsam nearby and check in here. At the same time, the indoor suspended glass staircase is another check-in point! ! There are a coffee shop and a gift shop in the museum. The gift shop has many cultural and creative gifts. It is very fun to visit and suitable for buying souvenirs.

❗Remember to make an appointment in advance on the WeChat mini program, because it is a very popular attraction and it is difficult to make an appointment on the same day. It is also recommended to rent an audio guide (paid) to better understand the design and stories behind the collections.

Penhouse Brunch & Bistro 23F (Shiquan Street Store)
I chose this western restaurant for lunch. The surrounding environment is full of beautiful flowers and plants, very chill, and there are terrace seats. I chose Spanish pork neck and sausage stew rice for 68. The taste is slightly spicy and the rice is stewed soft, not bad! In addition, you will get free ice cream when you check in. I thought it was just an ordinary scoop of ice cream, but I didn’t expect it to be presented on a plate with toppings. The service was also very good. Together with a glass of juice, the total amount was over 90. I think the environment and food are super value. Recommended!
