Lin Mo Niang Memorial Park is a park located in Anping District, Tainan City. It is now part of the Anping Port National Historic Scenic Area. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on February 2, 2001, and it was officially opened and put into use on April 23, 2004. The statue of Lin Mo Niang is 16 meters high and the base is 4 meters high. Lin Mo Niang Memorial Park faces Anping Harbor, symbolizing that Mazu protects the fishermen who go out to sea to fish. In addition to being the patron saint in the hearts of fishermen, Mazu is also the best protector of the general public. The statue of Lin Mo Niang in the park was donated to the city government by Mr. Xu Wenlong, the founder of Chi Mei Industrial at the time. The statue of Lin Mo Niang in the park is sculpted based on the appearance of a young girl before her death at the age of 28. Next to the statue is a stone tablet with the words "Filial Daughter's Enlightenment", which also represents the girl's filial piety and virtue. In a few days it will be the 23rd day of the third lunar month, the birthday of Mazu. Recently, Mazu temples in various regions have also been busy launching parades. But Mazu has not been at peace recently. As next year's presidential election is approaching, some politicians who are willing to run for election have said that Mazu came to them in their dreams. Regardless of whether it is true or not, in the hearts of ordinary people, she is a bodhisattva who saves people from suffering.
