Suzhou Lili Liuyue Museum
Address: No. 1, Renmin East Road, Wujiang District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province
This is a museum located in the ancient town of Lili, with a total of six floors. It was built by an American who spent a fortune collecting 'old objects' from various places. From a distance, you can see the spectacular standalone building composed of six-colored glass windows.
Upon entering the museum, there are four floors available for viewing. You can take the elevator to the fifth floor and view from top to bottom.
The first thing you see is the Wall of Hundred Buddhas, which gives a feeling of being in Dunhuang. The museum houses many old objects collected from various places, including wood carvings, Buddha statues, plaques, abacuses, sedan chairs, screens, masks, etc., all categorized and displayed in the museum. When presented as a group, one can't help but marvel at the wisdom of the ancient people.
The venue is spacious, filled with vibrant colors. Sometimes you see colorful murals, sometimes exquisite wood carvings, all while being immersed in traditional culture.
