A few days ago, I went to Suzhou Li'li Ancient Town and visited the Liuyue Museum, a private folk museum opened by American collector Mr. Tu Weiming. It is like a giant treasure house. Almost all the cultural relics inside can be touched, and even most of the chairs, sedan chairs, and beds can be sat on! This is really suitable for bringing children here. They are full of curiosity and can get close to the cultural relics here and touch history with their hands.
The entire museum has four floors, and the use of bright colors to match these old objects makes it very interesting. The exhibits include various types of folk architectural components from the Ming and Qing Dynasties to modern times, including doors and windows, beds, tables and chairs, cabinets, lamps, sedan chairs, shrines, stone carvings, etc. Nearly 40,000 pieces of collections were on display, and it is said that a large part of them are still in the warehouse and have not been exhibited.
There are cafes, restaurants and cultural and creative products on the first floor. After visiting the museum, we met the founder of the museum while drinking coffee downstairs. We chatted and took a photo together. Such an interesting museum deserves to be known to more people!
📍Address: Liuyue Museum, Lili Ancient Town, Suzhou

🌟There is no text introduction to the exhibits in the museum. We asked a guide to take us around, and the experience was very good.
🏠Accommodation: We stayed at the Liuyuezhuang Hotel next to the museum. Staying at the hotel gives you free museum tickets
